Wow. I've never really thought about it before, but this video points out that every single one of the Starbucks stores (and many others I'm sure) around the world leaves their water running all day and night just so they can have quick access to a clean spoon. What an unbelievable waste of water.

Very wasteful, although the music is a tad overdramatic.

Just cause I like talking up Australia given any chance:

Yeah. It is difficult to comply with certain health and safety laws while being environmentally friendly. They could use a different spoon each time, but that would dramatically increase the time they're running a dishwasher. Which means they're using a lot more electricity and water while putting detergent into the sewer system. Or they could use disposable spoons, which has obvious drawbacks.
