B) I think both sides are in the wrong in this particular issue. The Liberals/NPD/Bloc are wrong to be doing what essentially amounts to a coup. And the Conservatives are wrong to try to dissolve parliament, even temporarily. They both seem somewhat anti-democratic to me.

Seriously though, this is a *quality idea, and one which seems like pretty much a no-brainer. I think it's come up before and people have made the argument that they occasionally post stuff they wouldn't necessarily upvote, but really -- if something isn't worthy of your upvote you really shouldn't be posting it.
This would also help new users, because a lot of people aren't sure if it's okay to vote for their own stuff.
