73 year old Josef Fritz had admitted to hiding his daughter in a sound proofed cellar for 24 years since the age of 13, totally unbeknownst to his wife and neighbours.

He sired seven children with her, of which the surviving six have never seen the light of day. One of the children had died shortly after birth and was cremated in an furnace used for heating.

The former captives are currently being given psychiatric treatment, the eldest of which aged nineteen years.
